About the Role
At
SOTEC Consulting – Astek Group , we are looking for a
Verification & Validation Engineer (Cold Climate Testing)
to join an
international project
within the
railway sector .
The selected candidate will participate in verification and validation activities for railway rolling stock under extreme climatic conditions, contributing to the definition of test strategies, risk analysis, preparation of test plans, and validation of railway systems and trains in low-temperature environments.
High level of English required (international project)
Responsibilities:
Preparation of test plans.
Definition of validation scenarios.
Identification and analysis of technical risks.
Definition of acceptance criteria.
Validation of railway systems under extreme climatic conditions.
Coordination with engineering and validation teams.
Participation in national and international testing campaigns.
Technical support during test execution.
Monitoring and documentation of results.
Review of compliance with applicable regulations.
Mandatory Requirements:
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Railway Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum of
5–6 years of experience .
Availability for
occasional travel
to Sweden for testing campaigns.
Proven experience in:
Verification & Validation (V&V;).
Preparation of test plans.
Technical test management.
Validation of complex products.
Knowledge of:




Test plan definition.
Validation methodologies.
Risk management.
V&V; lifecycle.
Interpretation of technical requirements.
Behaviour of systems under extreme climatic conditions.
Nice to Have:
Experience with railway standards related to validation.
Experience with cold climate standards.
Participation in projects developed in Nordic countries.
Experience with homologation testing under extreme conditions.
Experience validating systems in environments down to
-40°C .
Experience with railway manufacturers.
Participation in testing campaigns in Sweden.
Experience with rolling stock.
Knowledge of train construction and architecture.
