What is The Role
In this role, you'll be deeply involved in shaping the future of application networking solutions within the the company Cloud, focusing on key areas such as Ingress, security controls, private connectivity, and DNS management. You will play a vital role in ensuring that every interaction with Elasticsearch, Kibana, and the broader the company stack is proficient and secure.
You will work with various engineering teams. You will face challenges that require careful problem-solving and scalability. Your contributions will not only enhance the performance of our platform but also help lay the groundwork for future innovations in our infrastructure.
What You Will Be Doing
Design and implement scalable and robust application networking features to enhance performance. Integrate security controls into networking solutions, ensuring safe interactions.
Refactor existing code to improve functionality and maintainability while leveraging AI tools to boost productivity for you and your team.
Analyze performance metrics to pinpoint bottlenecks in application networking. Conduct load testing to assess scalability of networking features and optimize code to enhance response times and resource efficiency. Implement performance monitoring tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet their application networking needs.
Identify and tackle application networking issues to enhance performance. Conduct root cause analysis for network-related incidents and document the troubleshooting processes for future reference. Develop tools aimed at tracing and fixing errors associated with application networking.
Collaborate with Engineering teams across the company to discuss and fulfill their Application Networking requirements.
What You Bring
Hands-on experience developing software in Golang with an emphasis on networking components that can scale.
Experience working with Kubernetes (Cilium, external-dns, Envoy Gateway & Crossplane) are also great
Knowledge with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their networking ecosystem
Proficient in using AI tools to enhance code functionality and maintainability
Facilitated knowledge-sharing initiatives that promoted best practices in application networking across teams
Care about the quality of work shipped — testing, observability, and operability
