The Research Centre for Naval and Industrial Technologies of the Universidade da Coruña (CITENI) is a research structure focused on the generation, transfer and dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge in the naval and industrial fields, with a strong commitment to collaboration with the productive sector, public administrations and other research organisations.

This recruitment is carried out within the framework of the Agreement for the Strengthening of Staff, Knowledge Transfer Management and Innovation 2023–2026,

associated with the strategic line of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer, whose objective is to strengthen the management of knowledge transfer, innovation and the consolidation of research structures. In this context, it is considered necessary to recruit a person with a technical profile specialised in scientific communication and dissemination to support CITENI in enhancing its institutional visibility, promoting the capabilities of its research groups, and disseminating the scientific and technological results generated by the centre.

The duties of the person recruited will focus on the preparation of institutional and outreach content, the updating of communication channels, the preparation of promotional and knowledge transfer materials, the compilation of information on research capabilities, projects and impact indicators, as well as support for the organisation of events, conferences, institutional visits, and scientific and technological dissemination activities. All these activities will contribute to strengthening CITENI's external profile, its relationship with the business and institutional sectors, and the effective transfer of research results to society.

The funding of the contract may be assumed, in whole or in part, by any other project or grant assigned to the Research Line, including prior to the completion of the initial months, provided that there is adequate and sufficient funding available.

Pursuant to Article 5 of Instruction 2/2025 of 17 March 2025 of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer, which regulates the registration of research and strategic lines and the recruitment of research staff under such lines, the continuation of this permanent contract is subject to the continued need for the duties and to the existence of adequate and sufficient funding within the Research Line. The exhaustion of the funding allocated to the Research Line, or the completion of the technical activities justifying the position without the possibility of reassignment, shall constitute objective grounds for termination of the contract (Article 52.e of the Workers' Statute).

Qualification: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, or Engineering degree in a field relevant to the scope of the contract.

The requirements must have been met by the end of the application submission period.

As of the deadline for submitting applications and throughout the duration of the contract, applicants must meet and maintain the requirements set out in Article 8 of the Regulations on the Recruitment of Research Staff under Chapter 6 for Research Projects, Grants and Agreements for Knowledge Transfer.

In order for merits to be scored, it is essential to provide supporting documentation. Merits that are merely declared but not duly documented will not be assessed by the Selection Committee.

- General merits: All degrees,

qualifications and certificates must be submitted in a legible PDF format.
- Professional experience: Applicants must provide an up-to-date Employment History Report (Informe de Vida Laboral), together with a certificate or report issued by the company, public administration or contracting organisation stating, at a minimum, the period of employment, working hours and duties or functions performed. Employment contracts may be submitted as supplementary documentation, but they will not replace the certificate or report describing the duties when the contracts do not provide sufficient detail regarding the tasks performed.
In the case of self-employed applicants, they must provide documentation proving registration with the Special Regime for Self-Employed Workers (RETA) or the corresponding regime, as well as contracts, client certificates, invoices or other documentation that allows the period of activity and the duties actually performed to be verified.
- Research projects: Only certificates issued by the competent official body (e.g. the Vice-Rectorate for Research or persons with the appropriate legal authority) will be accepted.
- Languages: Language proficiency must be demonstrated by means of an official certificate (e.g. CEFR, Cambridge, DELE, EOI) or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Selection Committee.

Exclusion note: Certificates or letters issued personally by professors or Principal Investigators (PIs) of the projects will not be accepted.

Minimum score required to access the interview

To proceed to the interview stage, applicants must obtain a minimum of 50 points in the merit assessment phase, comprising the criteria of academic record, professional experience, languages and additional training.

The three candidates with the highest scores in this phase will be invited to an interview. In the event of a tie for third place, all candidates tied for that position will be invited.

Personal interview

The interview score will be added to the score obtained in the merit assessment phase solely for the purpose of determining the candidate proposed for recruitment.

A waiting list will be established comprising applicants who are not selected but who obtain a minimum of 50 points in the merit assessment phase prior to the interview. This list may be used in the event of the selected candidate's withdrawal or termination of their employment contract.

The score obtained in the interview will not be taken into account either for admission to the waiting list or for determining the order of candidates on the list. The list will be ranked according to the score obtained in the merit assessment phase.

In addition, this list may be used for future recruitments with the same purpose.

Declaration of the position as unfilled

The position may be declared unfilled if no candidate obtains the minimum score of 50 points in the merit assessment phase prior to the interview. For this purpose, the score obtained in the interview will not be taken into account.

The Universidade da Coruña guarantees selection processes based on merit, transparency and equal opportunities (OTM-R policies), within the framework of its European HR Excellence in Research accreditation.
