Title: Data Engineer
Location: Brussels (2-3 days onsite)
Type: Contract
Start Date: August/September
Duration: 6 months + Extensions
Languages: English (Dutch is a bonus)
Job Summary / Key Skills
- Data Engineer experience in modern cloud and platform ecosystems (Azure Preferred)
- Solid competence and experience in Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark and construction of Pipelines
- Experience with SQL, preferably Python (Pandas/NumPy)
- Understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT, DevOps principles and modern data infrastructure
- Experience from agile teams (Kanban/Scrum, product team)
- Experience with Git and CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions) is an advantage
- Knowledge of data governance, quality and management practices
- Advantage with experience from modern BI tools such as Power BI or Table
