Sustainability Vice President - General Financial Services Business

My client are seeking an experienced Sustainability professional to join at the VP level to lead regulatory strategy and execution across EMEA. This role will partner with senior stakeholders across Sustainability, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to drive the implementation of evolving sustainability regulations, enhance disclosure readiness, and strengthen governance and reporting frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a subject matter expert on key regulatory developments, especially EU Taxonomy.
- Also work on CRR3, CRD VI and Pillar 3 requirements, ensuring alignment with broader sustainability and reporting objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting quality, data governance and operational efficiency through process improvements, automation and technology.
- Drive regulatory workstreams from interpretation and impact assessment through implementation, governance design, controls and assurance-ready reporting.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Sustainability, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance,



Investor Relations and business teams to deliver coordinated regulatory responses and embed regulatory requirements into business processes.
- Lead the execution of EMEA sustainability and climate-related regulatory initiatives, with a focus on EU regulatory implementation, disclosure readiness and governance.
- Oversee the development of sustainability disclosures across governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets, ensuring alignment with IFRS S1, IFRS S2 and TCFD where appropriate.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of EMEA sustainability regulations, including EU Taxonomy, CRR3, CRD VI and Pillar 3, together with familiarity with IFRS S1, IFRS S2 and TCFD.
- Significant experience in sustainability reporting, climate risk, regulatory implementation, ESG governance or financial reporting within financial services.
- Proven experience leading complex cross-functional programmes and influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Experience strengthening governance, controls and assurance processes, with exposure to sustainability data, reporting systems and automation considered advantageous.
