Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Clinical Dietitian I, you will assess patients' nutritional status and recommend/counsel them, their families, and caregivers on appropriate nutrition plans to improve disease or condition management, working with both general and complex patient populations under supervision.

Every day you will perform nutritional assessments, implement targeted nutrition interventions, provide customized education, monitor and evaluate patient status, and update care plans. You will also collaborate with Food and Nutrition Services to enhance patient experience, participate in peer reviews and chart audits, and contribute to Diet Manual Handbook training for clinical staff.

To be successful in this role, you will possess foundational expertise in clinical nutrition, strong assessment and counseling skills, a meticulous approach to documentation and monitoring,



and the ability to effectively collaborate within an interdisciplinary environment to support patient well-being and enhance care quality.

- Performs nutritional assessment using age and genderappropriate standards, cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds; and utilizing validated assessment tools resulting in nutritionrelated diagnosis when indicated.

- Implements targeted and specific nutrition intervention(s).

- Conducts routine screening to identify patients at nutritional risk.Provides customized nutrition education to patients and/or families and caregivers.

- Develops an intervention plan which includes appropriate feeding route, mode, and nutrition prescription unique to patient's specific needs, in accordance with physicians' orders.

- Monitors and evaluates patient response to interventions by meeting specific measurable goals documented in the nutrition care plan in a timely and thorough manner in the medical record.

- Collaborates within an interdisciplinary environment to contribute to facilitating care and identifying patients at nutrition risk or needing higher levels of care.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree with completion of accredited dietetics program (ACEND Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics)

- Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) must be obtained within three (3) months of hire

- Until registration is obtained, documentation in a patient’s medical record must be signed off on by a dietitian that is registered and licensed (if applicable)
