ABOUT CRAG:

The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a Postdoc Researcher to be part of the groups of Genomics of ancient crops and domestication and Rosaceae Genetics and Genomics. CRAG Researchers led by Laura Botigué and Raúl Castanera have generated a super-pangenome for Pea in collaboration with the Pea Crop Wild Relative Consortium from Canada, featuring an extensive representation of domestic varieties, landraces and crop wild relatives. A main publication is now being prepared, but the plan is to further use this dataset to carry out other projects.
The candidate will be in charge of:
- Analyse whole genome sequencing data, including SV and Transposable Element Polymorphisms to answer questions related with adaptation to stress, domestication and population history.



Carry out the necessary QC filtering criteria applicable to high coverage and low coverage genome sequencing data, carry out and test the efficacy of phasing and imputation.
- Analyse transcriptome data in collaboration with investigators from the Pea Consortium to investigate evidence of differential gene expression associated with stress.
- Explore the applicability of cutting edge population genetic tools such as the inference of the Ancestral Recombination Graph on the high coverage sequencing data.

The tasks are included within the framework of the project funded by the Horizon Europe funding scheme within the HORIZON-CL6-2023-BIODIV-01-13 Topic REFERENCE “101135314”.TITLE COUSIN - “Crop Wild Relatives utilisation and conservation for sustainable agriculture”.
