Software Engineer – Medical Devices Company Overvie w An innovative medical technology company is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and continuous improvement of regulated medical device software and associated digital infrastructure .Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will contribute across the full software lifecycle, working closely with hardware, data, regulatory and quality teams to deliver reliable, secure and compliant medical application s.The R ole The Software Engineer will be responsible for gathering requirements, defining system functionality and developing high-quality, testable software. The role will also support software architecture, cloud infrastructure, verification, cybersecurity testing and the preparation of technical documentation required within a regulated medical device environme nt.Key Responsibili ties Develop, test and maintain medical device software across the full development lifecy cle. Contribute to software architecture and communication between user interfaces, backend systems and algorithmic modu les.
Develop well-designed and efficient software using technologies including C#,. NET, C++, MATLAB and WPF/X AML. Support the integration of signal-processing, algorithmic and MATLAB-derived modu les. Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using AWS or similar platfo rms. Conduct unit, integration, regression and software verification test ing. Support automated testing, static code analysis, code coverage and CI/CD proces ses. Prepare test protocols, datasets, expected results and verification repo rts. Maintain traceability between requirements, risks, design, code, tests, defects and software relea ses. Investigate and resolve software defects and verification deviati ons. Maintain Git repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, tags, releases and code review workfl ows.
