The Opportunity To support the growing Power Electronics business within the Grid & Power Quality Solutions and Service (GPQSS) General Product Group at Hitachi Energy, we are searching for a Project Worker Advisor to join the Global Operations organization.
Mobility is a specialized area of HR focused on developing and managing programs and policies related to international employee assignments, and critical to the successful delivery of the growing number of Power Electronics projects around the world.
You will lead all aspects of the assignment process, policy and compliance matters, working closely with the Project Teams to ensure timely and compliant international mobilization of employees to customer project sites.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Global Mobility, preferably in field assignments, and in communicating with all stakeholders involved in the assignment process.

In this role, you will report to the Integral Operations Manager for GPQSS.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Developing talent mobility strategies and programs to support business growth and key talent development.
- Selecting and preparing employees for international assignments.
- Managing the physical relocation of employees, their families, and their possessions (e.g., visa coordination, immigration services,
moving/housing location assistance, etc.).
- Designing and administering expatriate policies and reward packages (e.g., compensation, housing allowances, tax equalization, benefits coordination, relocation expense reimbursement, etc.).
- Assisting the business with monitoring foreign government policies and actions that could impact operations and/or employee safety
Your Background
- Education and experience: bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, which includes Business Administration, Tax or Law, as your basis and at least 5 years of relevant work experience including managing employee relationships.
- Domain knowledge: strong knowledge of international assignment management, immigration, tax, and employment laws.
- Soft skills: team player with good organizational, planning and decision-making skills, possesses excellent communication skills and can interact with people of different cultures and nationalities
- Work approach: ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple tasks at the same time, able to adapt to changing business needs, maintaining focus on delivering the results within tight deadlines, confident individual who can maintain relationships in the business at varying levels of seniority.
- Language skills: Fluent in English, other languages are an advantage.
