• Telecommunications.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA / Database Engineer to join a technology operations environment focused on the stability, performance, scalability,



and security of enterprise database platforms.This role is adecuado for someone who enjoys working across both continuous improvement and project-based initiatives, contributing to the evolution of a critical SQL Server estate. You will act as a key technical reference for database administration, resilience, performance optimization, and operational best practices, while collaborating closely with infrastructure, architecture, engineering, and broader IT teams.What you will doAdminister, monitor, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments across the enterprise estate.Define and promote database standards, governance, and best practices across the organization.Contribute to the design of data architectures, including data integration approaches, schema development, data quality, storage decisions, and performance considerations.Install, configure, patch, and manage SQL Server and related database products.Implement and maintain database security controls in line with enterprise and regulatory requirements.Drive performance tuning, query optimization, archiving, and broader data lifecycle management.Act as an SME on SQL scalability and advanced data storage topics, planning and executing enhancement initiatives.Provide troubleshooting, consulting,



and technical support to development and wider IT teams.Improve legacy database environments through analysis, modernization, and operational refinement.Share knowledge with the wider infrastructure team through documentation, technical overviews, and collaborative support.QualificationsRequired:Strong hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in enterprise-scale environments.Proven background in database monitoring, backup/recovery, patching, security, and performance tuning.Experience with high-availability, resilience, and scalability across database platforms.Solid understanding of database architecture, schema design, and data integration principles.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.Exposure to DevOps / DevSecOps practices.Experience acting as a SQL Cloud Technology SME.Microsoft certifications.Full-time contract.Remote position.Training and career development opportunities.Perks &
