Business Development Manager – Pharmaceutical & Drug Delivery Packaging
I am working with a general leader in healthcare and pharmaceutical packaging that is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to support the continued growth of its Pharmaceutical & Drug Delivery division.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established international manufacturer with a strong reputation across the healthcare sector, supplying highly engineered packaging solutions that protect some of the world's most critical pharmaceutical and medical devices.
The role will have an even split between developing new business and strategically managing/growing existing key accounts, with significant exposure to pharmaceutical companies, CDMOs, medical device manufacturers and other major healthcare organisations.
The Role
You will take commercial responsibility for developing and growing customers across the pharmaceutical and drug-delivery market, working with applications including:
- Pre-filled syringes
- Diagnostic devices
- Drug-delivery systems




- Other specialist pharmaceutical and healthcare applications

Approximately 50% of the role will focus on new business development, identifying and winning new pharmaceutical, CDMO and medical device customers.
The remaining 50% will focus on account management and growth, developing existing strategic customers, identifying new projects and applications, expanding the product portfolio and building long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target and win new customers across the pharmaceutical, drug-delivery and medical device sectors.
- Develop and grow existing key accounts by identifying new products, projects and applications.
- Build strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies, CDMOs, medical device manufacturers and other key industry stakeholders.
- Understand customers' future packaging requirements and translate these into commercially viable solutions.
- Manage the commercial lifecycle
