Based in Madrid, the International Tax Specialist will support the Group's international tax strategy across more than 15 jurisdictions. The role focuses on identifying tax optimisation opportunities, managing withholding tax matters, supporting cross-border transactions and ensuring efficient tax structures across the Group.
Working closely with Finance, Treasury, Legal and external advisors, the role contributes to reducing tax leakage while ensuring compliance with international tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities
International Tax
- Support the review of tax implications arising from cross-border transactions.
- Analyse international tax issues affecting the Group's operations.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to optimise the Group's effective tax rate.
- Support tax aspects of business expansion and corporate restructuring projects.
Withholding Taxes
- Review withholding tax requirements applicable to international payments.
- Analyse tax treaty benefits and available exemptions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce withholding tax costs.
- Coordinate documentation required to support treaty relief claims.
Corporate Structure & Treasury
- Support reviews of intercompany transactions and financing arrangements.
- Assist in analysing tax implications of cash repatriation mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Treasury and Finance on tax-efficient funding structures.
Transfer Pricing
- Support transfer pricing documentation and annual reviews.
- Monitor intercompany transactions.
- Coordinate information requests with external advisors.
Tax Compliance & Advisory
- Coordinate international tax advisors across jurisdictions.
- Monitor tax filing obligations related to international operations.
