Your role and work environment:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Expert Lead to join our Client Tax Services Team of Financial Crime Prevention.
The responsibility of this team is to ensure end-to-end tax compliance for clients, especially in the Brokerage and investment products domain—from the correct capture and maintenance of client tax attributes (tax residency, W-8/W-9, CRS/FATCA, etc.) to execution, reporting, and ongoing management of associated tax obligations.
Your key responsibilities:
As a Tax Services Expert Client Lead, you will:
- Define and lead the Client Tax Services (CTS) function in Spain, aligned with the Group model and fully integrated within KYC, ensuring end-to-end ownership of client taxation (from onboarding to filing and in-life management).
- Design and implement a scalable operating model for client tax services, with a strong focus on Brokerage and investment products, ensuring accurate capture, maintenance, and usage of client tax data.
- Act as the single point of coordination for client taxation, connecting business, KYC, technology, and corporate functions.
- Own the full tax reporting lifecycle:
- Define and maintain the tax reporting catalogue
- Design and document end-to-end processes
- Collect, validate, and consolidate data
- Submit filings to the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) and manage incidents (notifications, claims, refunds)
- Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including CRS, FATCA, WHT, Double Tax Relief, and other taxes applicable to investment clients.
- Establish and maintain a robust Tax Control Framework, including internal controls, reporting, segregation of duties, and audit traceability.
- Lead risk management through KPIs, monitoring quality, timelines, operational incidents, and defect rates.
