What You’ll Do
- Design and optimize hydrometallurgical processes for the valorization and recovery of critical raw materials, metals, and residues—think e-waste, tailings, and industrial by-products.




- Conduct experiments at pilot scale (from 1L reactors to 100L flasks), focusing on leaching, precipitation, and solvent extraction.
- Lead and mentor 2 technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing lab environment.
- Play a key role in valorization projects that turn waste into high-value products, driving sustainable resource independence and circular economy goals.
- Co-author research proposals together with your supervisor, the Principal Investigator (PI) of the area—you’ll never be alone in this.
- Advance biohydrometallurgy techniques (idóneo if you have experience) to enhance metal recovery efficiency and sustainability.

What You Bring to the Table
- MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field, with hands-on R&D; experience (not large-scale mining).
- Practical knowledge of lab-scale hydrometallurgy (reactors, flasks) and a passion for critical-material recovery and process innovation.
