This is a challenging senior role, requiring a broad understanding of IT technology, service management processes and the ability to collaborate with many different stakeholder groups within Zurich Group.

Technology and Operations Software Asset Management comprises of an international team of SAM experts in four countries, who manage a multi-million-dollar software portfolio and SAM technology stack to support IT stakeholders in achieving their objectives. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who would like to work at a groupwide global level in defining and implementing 'Best Practice' methodologies related to SAM service in Microsoft and Oracle or/and Red Hat space. We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our integral Commercial Insurance team.As a Software Asset Management Specialist you will have the opportunity to:Subject matter expertise, in-depth and proven knowledge of SAM operations and competencies,
with ability to apply and advise on complex software licensing topics and produce ELPs specifically for Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat across all IT environments.
Understand
Microsoft licensing concepts and product use rights within containers, in on prem as well as in cloud operating environments. Navigate and leverage Microsoft software related billing, tracking and measurement systems and tools like Azure Active Directory, CMDB, My Access, Intune. Navigate and leverage Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat software related billing, tracking and measurement systems Provide transparency of costs for SW contracts and assure fair allocation of charges to BUs and Service owners based on software usage.
Identify and drive proactively initiatives to achieve SW related savings, mitigate compliance risks, developing best practices and processes, to continuously improve software asset management service and to ensure compliance with budget and contractual requirements. Identify necessary changes and play key role in the complex software contract negotiations, manage demand and contract updates, liaise with external vendors, legal, contract and sourcing teams. Support and drive implementation of global SAM standards, processes, controls, reporting, and monitor agreed performance indicators and control metrics.
Support other day-to-day activities of the global SAM team What Makes You a great Fit?5+ years of relevant proven experience with: direct responsibility and hands-on management of Microsoft and Oracle or Red Hat software portfolio in enterprise environment (irrespective of industry),
creating comprehensive fully optimized ELPs from data collection until finish strong understanding of license restrictions, benefits, optimization opportunities, BYOL concepts for product use within AWS/Azure Cloud,active hands-on work with general Microsoft specific system and usage billing, tracking and measurement tools, proficient use of SAM tools (ideally FlexeraOne) and supporting data sources, advanced hands-on MS Excel skills (V/H-Look Ups, Pivots, Complex calculations, …), proven track record in adopting and embedding AI solutions in SAM operations, profit and Loss (P&L;) calculations and accruals for cost impact. Fluent spoken and written English (strong B2+). PROVEN PERSONAL TRAITS analytical skills, financial and commercial acumen, attention to detail, AI expertise, ability to process data in a complex global organizational environment, organizational, productivity, time and project management skills, ability to interface, influence and network with managers, staff and stakeholders inside and outside of the organization, communication and negotiation skills with vendors as well as with internal stakeholders.
