Emburse is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between software development and quality assurance, designing and implementing robust automated testing frameworks that ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications. As an SDET, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to build efficient test solutions, drive continuous integration, and maintain a high standard of product quality across all releases.At Emburse, you’ll not just imagine the future - you’ll build it.

As a Software Engineer in Test, you’ll play a key role in supporting our online expense management SaaS platform, where technology and finance meet. You’ll assist customers whose data flows between our platform and their AP or ERP systems, helping to diagnose and resolve complex issues, analyse financial data, and ensure accuracy across integrated workflows.

or AP processes will help you translate technical insight into clear, reliable solutions that deliver real value to our customers.What You’ll Do : Work as the quality champion and SDET within a product scrum team on a large-scale highly distributed enterprise software solutionEstablish test plans/approach for features and functionalityEnsure code changes are thoroughly tested and released efficiently and with high qualityConduct system/E2E testing, and coordinate and execute release and deployment activities for Emburse releases Design and implement automation for integration and workflow testsAssess load/performance testing requirements and create tests to exercise and evaluate system performance under loadCollaborate with Software Engineers, Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure our products and services are delivered with high qualityParticipate in peer code reviews and identifying opportunities to improve the reliability and maintainability of our test automation architectureRequirementsEducation Required: Associate or Bachelor’s degree,



college diploma in related field and/or equivalent experience required4+ years of Testing/Quality Engineering experience in software domainBroad knowledge of Computer Science concepts and technologies Experience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environmentExperience designing and implementing automated tests using tools such as Pytest, Selenium, or similar toolsFamiliarity with object-oriented programming languages and concepts (Python, Java, etc..)Comfortable with SQL and writing SQL queries Exposure to RESTful APIs and experience with Postman or other equivalent toolsSome experience with load/performance testing and toolsAble to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external directionExperience with front-end and back-end automation frameworks (Selenium, QA Robot, Playwright, Pytest, RestAssured, etc…) Comfortable with CI/CD, build, package, configuration and release management tools (eg.
