ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain a set of Communication librariesDevelop and maintain a set of Motion Control libraries, including advanced identification algorithms and tuning toolsDevelop and maintain Graphical User Interfaces to simplify the commissioning of the servo-driversMake performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirementsWrite internal documentation for Novanta Motion software platforms (architecture, detailed design, etc.).Work closely with the Firmware team to improve Novanta Motion products and software solutions.Define, together with the Quality Assurance team, test plans for Novanta Motion software products.Required Experience and EducationBSc, MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical disciplineMinimum experience: Strong proficiency in Python.Motion control knowledge (motor types, feedback sensors, controls, etc.).Experience in source code control for software development (i.e.
