Analytical Chemist
Are you an expert in analytical chemistry with a passion for precision and problem-solving? Join our R&D; team as an Analytical Chemist, where you’ll play a key role in supporting and improving our packaging coatings portfolio through advanced testing, data analysis, and collaboration with commercial and technical teams.
About the role
- Ensure Lab Safety: Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment, following all safety protocols.
- Perform Advanced Testing: Conduct detailed chemical, physical, and performance analyses of packaging coatings using a range of analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy).
- Support Product Stewardship: Investigate product performance issues, raw material changes, and customer complaints through analytical testing and root cause analysis.
- Interpret & Report Data: Analyse complex datasets, generate clear reports, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with R&D;, Technical Service, Sales,
and Marketing to support customer needs and ensure product quality and compliance.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to testing protocols, lab practices, and product formulations based on analytical findings.
- Applies relevant analytical approaches and techniques such as FTIR, GCMS, LCMS, GPC and optical microscopy
About you
- A degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field, with specialization in analytical techniques.
- 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in coatings or packaging.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instruments and methods (e.g., FTIR, GC-MS, SEM, DSC).
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to translate technical data into meaningful recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
- Availability to travel internationally during the training period is required.
- Personal vehicle to access the Site (in an industrial area)
