Technical & Field Support Specialist II Location: Madrid, Spain (Remote / Field-based) About the Role Nova Biomedical is seeking a dedicated and technically astute Technical & Field Support Specialist II to join our EMEA Technical Support team. In this hybrid remote and field-based role, you will be the backbone of our customer success in Spain—delivering advanced remote support and hands-on field services for our industry-leading biomedical instrument systems. If you have a strong background in life sciences, clinical laboratories, or medical devices and excel at solving complex technical problems, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Key Responsibilities Advanced Technical Support: Provide high-level phone, email, and remote-access support to end-users, troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, and networking issues. Field & Onsite Operations: Execute onsite installations, commissioning, qualifications, calibration, preventative maintenance, and clinical/pharmaceutical validation (including IQ/OQ). Escalation Leadership: Serve as a key technical resource and escalation point for Level I specialists, diagnosing issues that require deep product expertise. Case Management & CRM: Accurately document customer issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within our CRM system in full compliance with medical device quality standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Commercial, Field Service, and internal engineering teams to coordinate RMAs,
service quotes, and customer follow-ups. Technical Content & Training: Assist in training new specialists and contribute to the creation of medium-to-high complexity technical content, such as FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and field procedures. What We Are Looking For (Qualifications) Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or Electronics (MLT/MT certification is a strong plus). Experience: 1–4 years of experience in technical support, customer support, or related customer-facing roles, ideally within a clinical, biotechnology, or research laboratory environment. Technical Aptitude: Proven capability to diagnose and resolve complex technical systems quickly and effectively. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both technical and user-friendly terms. Digital Literacy: Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and Teams;
familiarity with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) and ERP platforms is highly advantageous. Professional Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of managing shifting priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
