Experteer Overview
As a Software Engineer at J.P. Morgan Personal Investing, you will help build a first-class mobile and web experience for clients investing in digital assets. You’ll work in cross-functional squads to design scalable fintech solutions, with a focus on secure, audited, and high-quality code. You’ll contribute to an event-driven architecture that streams market data and trade events, integrating with digital-asset providers and regulatory controls. This role offers the chance to influence architecture decisions and drive rapid delivery in a compliant, production-focused environment.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Build and maintain integrations with digital asset providers and infrastructure (on ramp/off ramp), optimizing for security, stability and scalability
• Collaborate with Product to translate user needs and deliver features within an Agile SDLC
• Contribute to designing evolving architecture using microservices on Kubernetes with Kafka and event-driven design
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, and Operations to meet regulatory and security requirements for digital assets
• Own tasks from estimation to release and post-production
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve prioritised defects, with emphasis on balances, order flow, settlement, or asset movement
• Write tests for all code and adhere to high-quality standards, with deterministic,



auditable code paths for on-chain activities
• Support releases and continuous deployment
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Propose and collaborate on Technical Initiatives to improve codebase and tooling
• Focus on solving core problems rather than symptoms

Responsabilidades
• English working proficiency; team in London
• Hands-on experience with exchange, brokerage, custody, wallet, or settlement systems for digital assets
• Solid experience with JVM languages (Java/Scala/Kotlin) and Springboot
• Experience with designing systems from scratch and evolving architectures, including serverless and cloud-based
• Event-driven architecture experience with Kafka and various message brokers
• Experience integrating with third-party financial or trading APIs (REST, WebSocket, FIX)
• Monitoring and alerting in production, with awareness of latency and downtime impacts in trading/crypto
• Knowledge of digital-asset fundamentals (blockchains, wallets, keys, signing, tokens)
• Understanding of on-chain and off-chain data reconciliation
• Regulatory/compliance awareness for digital assets (AML/KYC, travel rule)
• Proactive, collaborative, and strong communication skills
