Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll help shape some of Western Union's most important growth and investment decisions by uncovering what truly drives customer growth, profitability, and long-term value. Partnering across Marketing, Product, Pricing, and Risk, you'll design experiments, build measurement frameworks, and apply causal analysis to influence business decisions and investment priorities.
Design and analyse A/B tests, holdouts, geo experiments, and other experimental frameworks to evaluate initiatives and establish causality.
Build robust measurement approaches for marketing, product, pricing, and risk initiatives, including incrementality, ROAS, CAC, retention, conversion, and customer lifetime value.
Apply statistical and causal inference techniques, including regression analysis, seasonality adjustment, interrupted time series, and causal impact frameworks, to determine business impact.
Analyse customer behaviour, identify growth opportunities, and uncover root causes behind performance trends.




Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations that help teams decide what to stop, start, or scale.
Partner cross-functionally with stakeholders and help raise analytical, measurement, and experimentation standards across the business.
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
4–6 years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Growth Analytics, or a similar analytical role.
Advanced SQL and Python or R skills.
Strong foundation in statistics, experimentation, and causal inference methodologies.
Experience designing and analysing A/B tests, controlled experiments, holdouts, and geo experiments.
Experience measuring incrementality and evaluating business initiatives using data-driven approaches.
Strong understanding of growth and performance metrics, including ROAS, CAC, conversion, retention,
