At Hays, we are looking for a Packaging Development Expert for a leading general pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an international Product Development team and play a key role in the development of innovative, sustainable, and compliant packaging solutions for global brands.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive packaging projects from concept through industrialization while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities * Lead the development, innovation and implementation of primary and secondary packaging solutions. * Manage packaging projects from concept to commercialization and industrialization. * Collaborate with R&D;, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs teams. * Drive packaging innovation, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. * Conduct packaging evaluations, compatibility studies,



and technical investigations. * Ensure compliance with applicable packaging, quality, and regulatory requirements. * Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and development reports. * Support the identification and implementation of new materials, technologies, and packaging formats.

Requirements * 9+ years of experience in Packaging Development, Packaging Engineering, or a related field. * Experience within Pharma, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, or FMCG environments. * Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging technologies. * Experience managing packaging projects in cross-functional and international environments. * Understanding of packaging regulations and quality standards. * Fluent English.
