IOM provides services and advice to governments and migrants.
Context Under the supervision of the Deputy Director (Digital Enablement and Engagement) and the Chief, Operations and Mission Engagement Solutions (OMES), the ICT Officer (Product Management – Knowledge Management Systems) will provide knowledge management systems and platforms to enable communications and strengthen evidence-based policy making. They will define and execute the end-to-end product strategy for Operations, Media and Communications, including AI-enabled agents in knowledge management, collaboration and communications platforms, ensuring integration with IOM’s platforms (POEM, external websites, intranet) and alignment with departmental knowledge needs. They will shape the vision, roadmap and governance for knowledge management systems and multi-agent AI systems within the Knowledge for Operations and the Media and Communications portfolios.
The ICT Officer will define and articulate the AI strategy for the Knowledge for Operations and the Media and Communications portfolios,



including how Agentic AI capabilities integrate with knowledge systems and business workflows. They will embed domain knowledge, tacit knowledge and policy nuance into AI prompts, workflows and reasoning chains, and ensure AI products reflect safeguards, programme policies and operational constraints.
Partner with data, AI and platform teams to ensure responsible AI practices, including transparency, explainability and governance of AI outputs; lead user discovery and testing to ensure AI features reduce search time and improve decision quality.
Drive adoption and change management for AI features across POEM, intranet and external websites, including readiness assessments, training materials and user enablement plans; Ensure software delivery processes and tools follow the IOM Software Development Lifecycle and best practices, policies and frameworks.
