At Hays, we are looking for a Packaging Development Expert for a leading integral pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an international Product Development team and play a key role in the development of innovative, sustainable, and compliant packaging solutions for global brands. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive packaging projects from concept through industrialization while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, innovation and implementation of primary and secondary packaging solutions.
Manage packaging projects from concept to commercialization and industrialization.
Collaborate with R&D;, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
Drive packaging innovation, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
Conduct packaging evaluations, compatibility studies,



and technical investigations.
Ensure compliance with applicable packaging, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and development reports.
Support the identification and implementation of new materials, technologies, and packaging formats.
Requirements
9+ years of experience in Packaging Development, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
Experience within Pharma, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, or FMCG environments.
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging technologies.
Experience managing packaging projects in cross-functional and international environments.
Understanding of packaging regulations and quality standards.
Fluent English.
