Overview:
Under general guidance and direction from the Parks Director, performs administrative, supervisory, and maintenance duties in the daily operation of parks facilities.

Essential Job Functions:
Manages Parks division and supervises full-time and seasonal employees; assists in the hiring and training of Parks Dept. employees; assists with employee evaluations and employee job performance reviews, assists in employee disciplinary actions; assists with timecard management and payroll preparation. Promotes Parks Dept. core values and goals, and ensures maintenance standards are being met at City owned parks, open spaces, properties and facilities, detention basins,



and public rights of ways.

Represents the Department Director, as needed at management team, City Council, budget, and public or professional meetings. Presents department related information to City Council and other elected officials. Participates in Professional Association conferences and trainings.

Schedules, assigns, and monitors' full-time Crew Lead and seasonal employee work; develops department policies and priorities, maintenance schedules, parks maintenance projects, park improvement projects, ensures all daily park maintenance needs are completed, i.e. bathroom cleaning, garbage collection, bowery and picnic table cleaning, mowing and trimming, park inspections, playground maintenance and inspections, and provides oversight and assistance for sprinkler system repair and maintenance.
