About Gartner Peer CommunityThis role owns technical leadership for the Peer Community product within Digital Product Technology (DPT), partnering with three Scrum teams to deliver web and backend platforms and to drive discovery and the architectural runway. Gartner Peer Community is a peer-driven platform where thousands of verified enterprise leaders connect to share knowledge, ask questions, and provide peer feedback that helps inform technology and business decisions. What you will do: Lead system architecture, run technical reviews, and own cross-team integration and interfaces across three Scrum teams. Design and evolve client-side architecture for web and mobile while ensuring consistency across platforms. Design and build effective, observable, and scalable backend services in Go. Define and drive non-functional requirements: scalability, availability, security, observability, and performance. Coach and mentor senior engineers; influence hiring, on-call practices, and engineering standards.



Improve engineering processes and tooling to reduce cycle time and increase reliability. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required. 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems. React, Next.js, Go. Hands-on experience with observability, incident response, and performance tuning. Proven track record delivering systems with strong UX, maintainability, and operational quality. Nice to have / opportunity to learn Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Scalr). Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering patterns. Prior experience in distributed systems, high-traffic services, or data-intensive platforms.
