HAYS Technology is assisting one of their clients in their search for a freelance Senior Product Manager (Wintel).

As a Senior Product Manager (Wintel), you will lead the Wintel team and take ownership of the Windows infrastructure environment. You will combine team leadership with hands-on infrastructure expertise, ensuring a stable, secure and future-oriented Wintel landscape.

Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and develop the Wintel team and Project Manager(s)
- Manage and optimize the Windows Server infrastructure (on-premises & hybrid)
- Coordinate patching, lifecycle management, security hardening and monitoring
- Drive automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Architects, Linux, Cloud, Security and Application teams
- Manage incidents, changes, projects and operational processes
- Advise on capacity planning, investments and infrastructure renewals
- Lead Wintel and hardware-related projects
- Manage budgets and define the Wintel roadmap
- Coordinate external vendors and Managed Service Providers





Must Have Skills

- 5+ years of experience in a Wintel infrastructure environment
- Experience leading or coordinating teams
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, VMware and Veeam
- Knowledge of Azure, server infrastructure and storage
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow and ITIL
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
- Fluent Dutch or French, good knowledge of the second national language and English

Nice to Have

- SQL Server knowledge
- Experience in large enterprise environments
- Experience managing budgets and infrastructure roadmaps

Long-term freelance assignment based in Brussels. Hybrid working model with 3 onsite days per week and flexibility for the remaining days.
