Project Manager – Space Sector

Are you passionate about the Space industry and looking for your next challenge in a highly technical and international environment? At Alter Technology TÜV NORD, we’re looking for a Project Manager to lead complex space‑equipment testing campaigns, working with some of the most innovative companies in the aerospace sector.
Responsibilities

Lead the complete lifecycle of space testing projects, from customer requirements to final delivery.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage technical, commercial and operational activities.
Plan and oversee test campaigns, including EMC, Vibration, Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and Thermovacuum testing.
Ensure compliance with ESA/ECSS, MIL‑STD and other applicable standards.
Manage project planning, budgets, risks, resources and customer communication.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of new testing services for the New Space ecosystem.
Qualifications

Degree in Aerospace, Electronics, Telecommunications,



Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or similar.
At least 2 years of experience in technical project management, ideally in the Space or Testing sector.
Knowledge of ESA/ECSS and MIL‑STD standards.
Strong project planning, communication and customer management skills.
Business‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality and service excellence.
Fluent English.
Nice to Have

PMP or Project Management certification.
Experience in accredited laboratories or complex technical environments.
Knowledge of the New Space ecosystem.
