Hosting Research Group
The Neuromusculoskeletal and Biomechanics Research Group (NeumBReG)



focuses on advancing knowledge in neuromusculoskeletal science and human biomechanics, with a primary emphasis on chronic ankle instability, isokinetic performance, and movement analysis. The group conducts experimental and applied research integrating physiotherapy, sports science, and biomedical engineering.
NeumBReG benefits from a modern Physical Therapy Research Laboratory equipped with inertial motion sensors (XSENS), force platforms, isokinetic dynamometry (ISOMED 2000), linear encoders, EMG systems, and 3D motioncapture technology. This infrastructure supports highprecision assessment of motor control, athletic performance, and neuromuscular function.
Beyond research, the group leads the Master’s Programme in Sports Biomechanics and supervises multiple PhD theses in related fields, fostering a vibrant scientific environment with strong mentorship, international collaborations, and a track record of high‑impact public
