What you will do

As programs officer, you will support prisoner programs that help people build skills and prepare for life after prison.
You will work with a friendly team, support daily program delivery and help keep important services running well.
You will:
deliver

prisoner programs and support services, including intake and orientation
assist

prisoners to access programs, activities and welfare support
complete

administration, maintain records and manage program information
support

staff with prisoner referrals, welfare requests and daily program activities
work

with

multidisciplinary

teams to encourage program participation and support successful community transition.
About you





You should have experience or an understanding of working in a correctional environment. Experience in welfare, employment or housing is an advantage. A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable but not essential.
You should also have:
experience

using

digital

tools such as Microsoft 365 applications
strong

communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly
flexibility

and a

respectful

approach when working with people from diverse backgrounds
sound

problem-solving skills and the ability to work

collaboratively

with others.
