At Hays, we are looking for a Packaging Development Expert for a leading integral pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an international Product Development team and play a key role in the development of innovative, sustainable, and compliant packaging solutions for integral brands. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive packaging projects from concept through industrialization while ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, innovation and implementation of primary and secondary packaging solutions.
- Manage packaging projects from concept to commercialization and industrialization.
- Collaborate with R&D;, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Drive packaging innovation, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct packaging evaluations, compatibility studies,



and technical investigations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable packaging, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and development reports.
- Support the identification and implementation of new materials, technologies, and packaging formats.

Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in Packaging Development, Packaging Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience within Pharma, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, or FMCG environments.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and packaging technologies.
- Experience managing packaging projects in cross-functional and international environments.
- Understanding of packaging regulations and quality standards.
- Fluent English.
