At IKIGAI Talent Group , we are supporting one of our clients in the search for an Operations Director to join an international technology-driven company operating within the Mobility, Electric Vehicle (EV) and Electronics ecosystem .

The company is currently strengthening its operational structure to support its next stage of growth. We are looking for an experienced operations leader who can take ownership of key areas including Supply Chain, Procurement and Manufacturing Operations .

The position is based in the Barcelona area and requires significant international exposure, including regular travel to India, approximately 40% of the time , to work closely with local operations, manufacturing partners and suppliers.

It will suit someone accustomed to complex industrial environments, international suppliers and situations where priorities can change quickly.

As Operations Director, you will play a key role in ensuring that the company's operational capabilities can support its business, manufacturing and growth objectives.
Leading and coordinating Supply Chain, Procurement and Manufacturing Operations .
Improving planning, purchasing, inventory and production processes.
Establishing and monitoring operational KPIs.
Ensuring appropriate levels of quality, cost efficiency and delivery performance.
Working closely with Engineering and other internal teams to align operational and production requirements.
Supporting the implementation and optimization of ERP/MRP and other operational management tools.
Providing management with clear visibility of operational performance, risks and priorities.
You will take responsibility for developing a reliable and scalable supply chain capable of supporting a demanding Mobility / EV / Electronics environment .

Managing strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
Evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, reliability and lead times.
Negotiating commercial conditions and strategic agreements.




Improving inventory management and purchasing processes.
Manufacturing & Operational Excellence

Working closely with technical and production teams, you will help ensure that manufacturing activities meet the company's operational objectives.

Monitor production performance and operational KPIs.
Ensure alignment between demand, materials availability and production capacity.
Identify production constraints and improvement opportunities.
Support capacity planning as the organization grows.
Contribute to the development of scalable manufacturing processes and ways of working.
Work directly with the teams in India to ensure effective execution and alignment between operational priorities and business requirements.

We are looking for a senior operations professional with:

~10+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Manufacturing.
~ A strong background in Mobility, Electric Vehicle (EV), automotive electronics, electronics or other closely related technology-driven industrial environments .
~ Strong knowledge of procurement, supplier management and negotiation.
~ Experience working in manufacturing environments with demanding quality and delivery requirements.
~ Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven operational management.
~ Professional proficiency in English .
~ Enjoy spending meaningful time close to manufacturing operations rather than managing exclusively from headquarters.
