MAAS delivers a cloud‑style on‑demand API for physical server provisioning, network configuration and storage, enabling Ubuntu to run on bare‑metal infrastructure. The position requires experience in high‑quality software development, high‑performance team leadership, and deep familiarity with Linux on physical servers, Linux storage and data centre networking.Location:This is a work‑from‑anywhere position available in EMEA or the Americas.The role entailsLeading a distributed team of engineers in your time zone (Americas or EMEA)Talent development through coaching, mentoring, feedback and career planningSetting and managing expectations with other engineering teams, senior management and external stakeholdersAdvocating for and advancing modern software development practicesParticipating in the engineering process through code and architectural reviewEngaging with broader teams at Canonical, the open source community and partnersTraveling to internal and external general events for 4 to 6 weeks per yearWhat we are looking for in youBachelor's degree (or equivalent)
