We're looking for a Junior QA Engineer to become the first dedicated QA professional in the growing tech team of our client. This is a unique opportunity to build the QA function from the ground up, helping define testing processes, improve product quality, and gradually introduce test automation.You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to ensure every release meets high-quality standards while developing a deep understanding of the product and contributing to product discussions.Based in Barcelona, the office is near Turó Park, you 'll join a collaborative startup environment where your ideas will have a direct impact on both the product and the development process.Main responsibilitiesOwn the manual QA process for the web application and backendDesign, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and regression test suites for every releaseTest new features before production, ensuring product stability and a great user experienceIdentify, document, prioritize, and track bugs until resolutionBuild and continuously improve QA processes, becoming the first point of reference for quality within the teamWork closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to understand requirements and identify potential risks early in the development cycleParticipate in product workshops,



providing both functional and technical feedbackDevelop a deep understanding of the product to become a functional expert and support the Product teamIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive testing and gradually implement automated tests using the team 's preferred toolsCollaboratewith developers and Dev Ops to integrate automated testing into the development workflow and CI/CD pipelineCore skills/experienceAround 2-3 years of experience in Software Testing or Quality AssuranceStrong experience with manual functional testing, regression testing, and writing test casesExperience using bug tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, You Track, or similarExperience testing APIs with tools like Postman or InsomniaExposure to test automation using Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworksBasic programming knowledge and the ability to understand application codeA proactive, curious, and autonomous mindset with the confidence to build processes from scratchFrench is a plus, but not required.
