If you want to know more about us go to GMV website.WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?TheEuropean Space Agency's (ESA) CELESTE programme aims to define and evaluate anew generation of satellite navigation systems based on low Earth orbit (LEO)constellations, complementing the current GNSS systems in medium Earth orbit(MEO). This programme addresses challenges relating to technology, systemarchitecture, interoperability and the provision of high-precision, resilientand low-latency navigation services. The next phase of the programme is CELESTEIn-Orbit Preparation (IOP), a large-scale project covering the end-to-endsystem and integrating multiple sub-programmes. The Systems Engineer role aimsto take on technical responsibility for the CELESTE IOP programme, or one ofits sub-programmes, leading the definition of the architecture, requirementsmanagement and technical consistency of the system.Lead the systems engineering for the assignedprogramme or sub-programme.Define and maintain the architecture of the LEOnavigation system (space segment, signals, links, ground segment and users). Manage system requirements, including theirdefinition, breakdown, traceability and verification. Ensure technical consistency between the varioussegments and disciplines (payload, platform, navigation, ground segment,operations). Coordinate system performance analyses. Lead orcontribute to technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) in accordance with ECSSstandards. Identify and manage technical risks and designtrade-offs. Oversee the preparation of technical documentation andsystem models.
Liaise with ESA and other stakeholders on key technical aspects.WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?For this role, we are looking for candidates with adegree in aerospace engineering, telecommunications engineering, physics or asimilar discipline. The following knowledge is also required:Experience in systems engineering applied to complexspace systems. Solid knowledge of GNSS and navigation signals.Experience in defining system architecture (space,ground and user). Knowledge of ECSS standards and space project lifecycles. Experience in requirements management and associatedtools. Knowledge of orbital dynamics and the fundamentals ofsatellite constellations.
