Experteer Overview
As a Java Backend Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in a modern microservices setup, collaborating with frontend, DevOps, and product teams. You’ll implement RESTful APIs, optimize PostgreSQL models, and deploy on OpenShift, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performance applications. You work within Agile teams to deliver quality software that supports enterprise goals. This hybrid role in Málaga offers training, career development, and international collaboration.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud)
• Design, implement, and maintain REST APIs
• Optimize and maintain PostgreSQL database models
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on OpenShift
• Collaborate with frontend engineers (React) for seamless integration
• Participate in code reviews and uphold code quality
• Develop and run unit tests and support CI practices




• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance, scalability, and security
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives

Responsabilidades
• Proven experience in Java backend development
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience designing REST APIs
• Knowledge of Docker and OpenShift
• Experience using Git for version control
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
