Senior DevOps Engineer
? Barcelona (El Prat de Llobregat) | Hybrid (3 days remote)
Are you passionate about automation, platform reliability, and modern infrastructure? We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a growing Middleware team and play a key role in the modernization of critical platforms and services used by customers worldwide.
This is an opportunity to work across multiple projects, helping drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD excellence, and operational reliability while collaborating with engineering, database, IT, product, and R&D; teams.
What You'll Be Doing
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting software deployments across multiple sites and datacenters.
• Operate and evolve on-premises Kubernetes environments and legacy platforms hosting business-critical applications.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code initiatives and automation strategies to improve consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure platform reliability and observability.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform Root Cause Analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support software release processes, automated testing, system performance analysis, and platform optimization.
• Lead automation efforts using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Database, IT Operations, Product, Project Management, and R&D.;
What We're Looking For
Technical Skills
• Experience in DevOps, SRE, IT Operations, or Production Engineering.
• Kubernetes and containerized environments, including on-premises platforms.
• CI/CD with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
• Infrastructure as Code and automation with Ansible, Terraform, or Helm.
• Strong Linux and Windows administration skills.
• Production support and troubleshooting of Java applications.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server and/or Oracle.
• VMware ESXi and basic networking knowledge.
• Monitoring and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Understanding of microservices and modern application architectures.
• Good command of English, written and spoken.
Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Passion for automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
• Fluent English.
About the Team
You'll join the Middleware (ePayments) team, supporting critical platforms including the company's Data Center infrastructure and customer-facing products. This is a highly collaborative environment where priorities evolve based on business needs, providing exposure to a wide variety of technical challenges and stakeholders.
