Join the DDS Team - We're Looking for a Part-Time Social Media Manager & Research Communicator!
About Us Domestic Data Streamers (DDS) is a dynamic team of 30+ creatives, technologists, and researchers who transform data into public experiences that spark real dialogue. We work across 50 countries with museums, cultural institutions, companies, schools, prisons, hospitals, and the UN General Assembly. At DDS, data isn’t just numbers - it’s a living part of how people see, feel, and act. Our installations and campaigns reach millions, shaping how society interacts with data and art.
The Role: Part-Time Social Media Manager This role is
central
to how DDS communicates both
internally and externally . You’ll manage the
day-to-day operations
of our social media platforms and support the broader
communications team
with research, content creation, and performance reporting.
We’re looking for someone who’s
hands‑on, highly organized , and excited to help grow DDS’s presence and visibility, aligning with our identity as a
creative research studio . You’ll help create, manage, and analyze content across platforms while contributing to
internal communications
and project‑based needs.
Core Responsibilities Social Media Operations
Manage daily operations for DDS’s social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky).
Schedule and publish posts, ensuring timely and consistent output.
Monitor accounts and respond to comments/DMs when needed.
Coordinate visuals with the Comms Visual Design Intern.
Collaborate with clients/partners on joint posts or shared content.
Content & Copywriting
Write and edit copy for posts, case studies, and campaign materials.
Oversee visual uploads to ensure they meet DDS brand standards.
Support internal communications to boost project visibility.
Research & Reporting
Conduct research to strengthen DDS’s identity as a research studio.
Analyze social media performance and provide monthly/quarterly reports.
Extract insights to improve future campaigns and communication flows.
Help define and document key methodologies across Comms functions.
Collaboration & Team Support
Participate in Comms meetings and align with internal teams on project messaging.
Assist in managing the Comms Visual Design Intern’s priorities.
Amplify content created by other teams for DDS’s digital channels.
✅ Must-Haves (Do Not Apply Without)
Minimum 2 years
of experience managing social media for
creative ,
cultural , or
research-oriented
projects.
Strong
copywriting skills
(English) and content scheduling experience.
Highly organized , self‑managed, and comfortable working in remote and hybrid settings.
Experience with visual assets and tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe Suite).
Fluency in English
(spoken & written);
Spanish/Catalan
is a plus.
Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, BlueSky, and X (formerly Twitter).
Proficient with
Excel/Google Sheets
for reporting and tracking.
Availability to work from the
Barcelona studio
at least 2 days a week, with a part‑time arrangement.
You’ll Be Accountable For
Social Media Consistency : Regular posting, platform maintenance, and audience engagement.
Content Accuracy : Ensuring visuals and copy align with DDS tone and values.
Research & Insight : Providing data and references to inform strategic decisions.
Internal Visibility : Supporting communications across the organization.
Collaboration : Clear communication across design, creative, and research teams.
