PRODUCT ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE

Location: Terrassa, Barcelona

Work model: Hybrid (3 on-site / 2 remote)

At K-LAGAN, we are looking for a Product Engineer to join a technical project within the automotive sector, focused on mechanical product development, technical feasibility and industrialization. This role is adecuado for professionals with hands-on experience in product engineering, mechanical product development and cross-functional coordination with design, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, suppliers and customer engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the technical feasibility of the product during offer and development phases.

• Apply standardized solutions and lessons learnt throughout the product development process.

• Participate in design reviews and support technical decision-making.

• Ensure prototype development and delivery according to customer and project milestones.

• Participate in product and process FMEA activities.

• Analyze technical test results and collaborate on the definition of technical countermeasures.

• Work closely with manufacturing teams during product industrialization.

• Manage product modifications during the development phase.

• Support cost, quality and product performance improvement through technical solutions and benchmark analysis.

• Cooperate with purchasing teams and suppliers to optimize components in terms of cost, quality and manufacturability.

• Ensure CAD 3D and 2D design development.

• Act as a technical interface with customer engineering teams.

Requirements:





• Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.

• Previous experience in mechanical product development.

• Experience with CAD 3D/2D design and technical documentation.

• Knowledge of FMEA, product testing, prototypes and industrialization phases.

• Experience working with manufacturing, quality, purchasing or supplier teams.

• Fluent Spanish, English and German, spoken and written.

• Previous experience in the automotive sector will be highly valued.

• Experience with plastic parts, exterior components, rear-view systems or vision systems will be a plus.

The expected salary range for this position is between €38,000 and €42,000 gross per year. However, the final offer will be adjusted according to the candidate’s experience, technical skills, soft skills and the value they can bring to the project.
