RINA is currently recruiting for aSouth Spain Marine Surveyorto join its office inAndalucia, Spainwithin theMediterranean and Africa MarineDivision.MissionThe Junior Surveyor is to contribute to the organization's commitment to maritime safety, compliance, and excellence by applying knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry principles. The Junior Surveyor supports the surveying team in performing routine inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and staying informed about evolving industry practices.Key AccountabilitiesProfessional ApplicationActs as a professional specialist, applying knowledge of rules, regulations, and industry concepts within the organization's framework.Inspection and ReportingConducts routine surveys on classed ships, platforms, or marine structures for compliance with classification and statutory requirements, following guidance and supervision of a Surveyor, Senior Surveyor, or Principal Surveyor.Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys.File MaintenanceMaintains survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner within the assigned area of ntinuous LearningMaintains an active awareness of new working methods and developments affecting the technical scope of assigned responsibilities.Engages in ongoing learning to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to surveying practices.Problem‑SolvingRecommends new approaches to problems encountered,
seeking guidance and supervision from more experienced llaboration and GuidanceCollaborates with and seeks guidance from more experienced surveyors to ensure accurate and effective survey outcomes.Participates in team activities and contributes to a collaborative work environment.Quality AssuranceContributes to maintaining the quality of surveying work under the guidance of experienced surveyors.Assists in the adherence to established standards and procedures.Client InteractionEngages with clients as directed by more experienced surveyors, contributing to problem‑solving within area of expertise.Professional DevelopmentActively participates in training programs and developmental activities to progress toward becoming a fully competent surveyor.Ethical ConductUpholds the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in survey processes.EducationMaster’s Degree in Naval Engineering.QualificationsProficiency in English relevant for classification, statutory certification, related services, and future work.Ability to develop a working knowledge of RINA Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and instructions, as well as the RINA Employee Safety Policy.Ability to understand engineering plans and have a basic knowledge of shipbuilding practices and ship operations.Ability to perform:New building surveys:
