The Parc de Recerca UAB (PRUAB) is a non-profit foundation established in 2007 by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), and the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA). Its mission is to foster and enhance the technology and knowledge transfer activities of its members, promote entrepreneurship through the creation of new research-based companies and, more broadly, facilitate interaction between research, business and society.
At the Parc de Recerca UAB, we work to foster collaboration between the university and the business sector by creating synergies, identifying collaboration opportunities and strengthening strategic relationships in research and innovation.
As part of the UAB Strategic Plan for Knowledge Valorisation, Interaction and Transfer with Society, co-funded by the Government of Catalonia under the ERDF Catalonia Programme 2021-2027, the Parc de Recerca UAB is recruiting a University–Business R&D;&I; Officer to join the team and strengthen connections with companies and other ecosystem stakeholders, particularly in experimental sciences and ICT. We are looking for someone with experience in knowledge transfer,
university–business engagement and the development of R&D;&I; projects.
What will you do?
- Identify collaboration opportunities and build relationships with companies, institutions and other potential partners.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote university–business cooperation, driving scientific and technological projects.
- Build and maintain networks that foster synergies among different stakeholders.
- Conduct active outreach to companies and organisations interested in public–private collaboration services.
- Analyse requests for capabilities, services and research projects to identify business collaborations aligned with the university’s expertise.
- Support the organisation of internal and external events designed to generate collaboration opportunities.
- Serve as the point of contact for identifying and applying for R&D;&I; funding calls, including new funding sources.
- Advise and provide technical support to researchers and companies in the preparation, monitoring and implementation of collaborative projects.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications
University degree in experimental sciences, physics, digital technologies,
data science, artificial intelligence, information technology or a related field.
Experience in university–business engagement, knowledge transfer, R&D;&I; project management or technology business development.
Professional proficiency in Catalan and Spanish. B2 level of English desirable.
Ability to understand scientific and technological challenges, particularly in experimental sciences and digitalisation.
Strong communication, negotiation and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust with scientific, business and institutional stakeholders.
Specific Requirements
PhD and/or additional training in innovation management, business, sales, business development or project management.
Commercial experience or mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, generate leads, initiate conversations with companies and follow up on potential collaborations.
Knowledge of areas such as data analytics, applied AI, sensors, IoT, automation, clean technologies or advanced materials.
Proactivity, autonomy and a results-oriented approach.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Previous experience in university, foundation, research or innovation environments.

Additional Information
Salary: TEC N2 salary band (€32,000 - €41,000 gross per year)
