while minimizing the need for physical testing.The main responsibilities of this role will be:Build chassis and complete vehicle modelsPerform virtual simulations to evaluate suspension kinematics & compliance and complete vehicle handling & ride comfort.Optimize chassis parameters in order to meet performance targetsPrepare/write project reportsPresentation of project results and support decision makingTo support project management and commercial actions:Presentation of project proposals and project results to customersManagement of client communication and reportingQualificationsTechnical qualificationsB.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.More than 5 years of experience in automotive chassis development with a focus on Vehicle Dynamics.Knowledge of vehicle dynamics theory and contributions from individual components— hardpoints, steering, springs, bars, dampers, tires, bushings, etc.—to suspension K&C; and full-vehicle performance.Strong understanding of the performance development process, from target setting and target cascading to validation and sign-off.Vehicle dynamics simulation experience with multi-body (ADAMS) and/or lookup tables-based models (VI-CarRealTime, IPG CarMaker, CarSim, etc)Data post-processing skills.Strong knowledge of programming with Matlab and/or Python.Personal qualificationsDetail-oriented and organised personalityGreat communication and team-working skillsHard-working and adaptable mindsetProficient in spoken and written EnglishAdditional InformationApplus IDIADA is committed to equality,diversity and inclusion.
