Experteer Overview
In this role you will own the data architecture for a greenfield UK banking platform built on Thought Machine Vault. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, product owners and business stakeholders to shape data solutions across core banking, payments, CRM and analytics. You’ll translate regulatory and business requirements into scalable data models and pipelines, driving governance and data quality. This is a hands-on position that combines architectural leadership with practical delivery in a fast-moving project. You will contribute to shaping a data-driven fintech platform at scale.

• Take ownership of the existing data architecture and reverse-engineer systems where needed
• Analyze data landscapes across core banking, payments, CRM, customer applications and supporting services
• Map data sources, integrations, transformations, dependencies and data consumption points
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable data architectures and technical solutions
• Design conceptual, logical and physical data models, data flows and transformation rules
• Prepare detailed source-to-target mappings, data contracts, interface specifications and data quality requirements
• Identify architectural gaps,



technical debt and risks and propose remediation approaches
• Support data requirements related to KYC, AML, transaction reporting and other regulatory processes
• Contribute to data governance, security, lineage, ownership and data quality standards
• Review implementations and communicate technical decisions, dependencies and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsabilidades
• Extensive experience as a Data Architect, Solution Architect or Lead Data Engineer with hands-on data architecture
• Strong hands-on Snowflake, SQL, relational databases and data modelling, as well as data warehouses/lakes and ETL/ELT processes
• Experience in reverse-engineering existing systems with limited documentation and translating business requirements into implementation-ready technical specifications
• Strong understanding of data integrations, pipelines, transformation patterns and analytical data platforms
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and bring structure to an already-running programme
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Upper-Intermediate (B2) English or higher
