We are currently looking for an Advanced Materials & Casting Specialist to join our Integral Engineering & R&D; team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Global Engineering & R&D;, you will play a key role in defining, optimizing, and industrializing high-silicon alloys and casting processes, while supporting our plants in solving complex metallurgical challenges. Initially, your primary focus will be supporting the Teruel plant, with a broader impact across our European and Asian operations.

? Key Responsibilities

- Lead the analysis and resolution of complex metallurgical and foundry-related issues where root causes are not clearly identified.
- Support plants in stabilizing and optimizing high-silicon casting processes.
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and R&D; teams to implement sustainable solutions.
- Conduct structured technical assessments of materials and casting processes across plants, identifying priorities based on quality, cost, productivity, and risk.
- Develop action plans and roadmaps with measurable business impact.
- Provide expert guidance on material-process interactions, strengthening plant and engineering capabilities.
- Participate in strategic projects involving non-standard materials or high-risk technical requirements.
- Support technical discussions with customers related to materials, metallurgy, and foundry processes.




- Identify and implement improvement opportunities in alloy design, process stability, and manufacturing performance.
- Capture and deploy best practices across plants, promoting knowledge sharing and standardization.

? Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Master's Degree and/or MBA is considered a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in foundry operations, materials engineering, metallurgy, or metallurgical consulting.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-silicon alloys , metallurgy, and complex casting processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve challenging technical issues.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English. Spanish language skills would be highly valued.
- Availability to travel approximately 50% of the time , both nationally and internationally.
