Location: Bilbao, Vizcaya, SpainPublished: 2026-07-09Expires: 2026-08-31Contract: PermanentReference: 33162Employer: Melt GroupLocation:Bilbao, VizcayaType:PermanentJob#33162Melt Group is supporting a leading international engineering and project management company in the search for an experienced Quality Control Manager to join several strategic industrial projects within the steel and heavy industry sector across Europe.Our client is involved in some of the most ambitious industrial transformation and decarbonization projects currently under development, including large-scale steelmaking facilities, electric arc furnace (EAF) plants, rolling mills, and associated industrial infrastructure.The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for leading all quality assurance and quality control activities during the construction, erection, and commissioning phases of major industrial projects.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain the Project Quality Management System.Coordinate quality activities throughout construction, erection, and commissioning phases. Manage quality inspectors, third-party inspection agencies, and subcontractors.



Review and approve quality documentation, inspection reports, and procedures. Manage non-conformities (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality improvements. Interface with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders regarding quality matters. RequirementsDegree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management within industrial construction projects. Previous experience in steelmaking facilities, EAF plants, rolling mills, metallurgical plants, or other heavy industrial sectors. Strong knowledge of international quality standards and construction quality management systems. Fluent English is required. Willingness to travel internationally and work on project sites.
