We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join FairWind and take ownership of the audit and reporting processes across the Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the consolidated accounts of the FairWind Group, ensuring high-quality financial reporting in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with global stakeholders and play a key role in strengthening financial processes, controls, and reporting standards across our international operations.
Key responsibilities
- Own and manage the audit process for the FairWind Group consolidated accounts
- Ensure timely and high-quality monthly, quarterly (Nasdaq Stockholm), and annual reporting in accordance with IFRS and integral regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee the monthly and annual financial close processes across all Group entities.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure consistency in accounting policies and financial reporting practices.
- Act as the main point of contact for external auditors throughout the audit process.
- Drive the continuous improvement of financial processes, internal controls and accounting policies.
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts and business planning activities.
- Prepare financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor compliance with accounting, tax and internal control requirements across the different countries in which the Group operates.
- Participate in finance transformation projects,
ERP implementations and process automation initiatives.
- Promote the standardisation of financial procedures across the Group.
- Provide technical guidance and support to finance teams across different regions.
Your profile
- Proven experience owning the preparation and audit of annual accounts for an international group under IFRS.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Background in an audit firm with hands-on ownership of audit processes.
- Experience within a Big Four firm (Deloitte, PwC, EY or KPMG) would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting, tax and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Danish would be an advantage.

- Advanced IFRS expertise
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience with data warehousing, data models, Power Query and/or Power BI
- Experience implementing accounting and reporting processes across multiple entities.
