At IKIGAI Talent Group , we are supporting one of our clients in the search for an Operations Director to join an international technology-driven company operating within the Mobility, Electric Vehicle (EV) and Electronics ecosystem .

The company is currently strengthening its operational structure to support its next stage of growth. We are looking for an experienced operations leader who can take ownership of key areas including Supply Chain, Procurement and Manufacturing Operations .

The position is based in the Barcelona area and requires significant international exposure, including regular travel to India, approximately 40% of the time , to work closely with local operations, manufacturing partners and suppliers.

This position requires a combination of strategic vision and hands-on execution. It will suit someone accustomed to complex industrial environments, international suppliers and situations where priorities can change quickly.

The Role

As Operations Director, you will play a key role in ensuring that the company's operational capabilities can support its business, manufacturing and growth objectives.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading and coordinating Supply Chain, Procurement and Manufacturing Operations .
- Developing an operational framework capable of supporting the company's international growth.
- Improving planning, purchasing, inventory and production processes.
- Establishing and monitoring operational KPIs.
- Ensuring appropriate levels of quality, cost efficiency and delivery performance.
- Working closely with Engineering and other internal teams to align operational and production requirements.
- Identifying bottlenecks, operational risks and improvement opportunities.
- Supporting the implementation and optimization of ERP/MRP and other operational management tools.
- Providing management with clear visibility of operational performance, risks and priorities.
- Maintaining a strong on-the-ground connection with operations in India through frequent travel, representing approximately 40% of the position .

Supply Chain & Procurement You will take responsibility for developing a reliable and scalable supply chain capable of supporting a demanding Mobility / EV / Electronics environment .

This will involve

- Managing strategic relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Leading sourcing and supplier selection initiatives.
- Evaluating suppliers based on quality, cost, capacity, reliability and lead times.
- Negotiating commercial conditions and strategic agreements.




- Developing alternative sourcing strategies for critical materials and components.
- Improving inventory management and purchasing processes.
- Identifying potential supply risks before they impact operations.
- Taking ownership of critical supply chain issues and coordinating effective solutions when disruptions occur.
- Developing strong relationships with suppliers and operational stakeholders in India and other international markets .
- Travelling regularly to India to ensure close alignment with suppliers and operational teams.

Manufacturing & Operational Excellence Working closely with technical and production teams, you will help ensure that manufacturing activities meet the company's operational objectives.

You will

- Monitor production performance and operational KPIs.
- Ensure alignment between demand, materials availability and production capacity.
- Identify production constraints and improvement opportunities.
- Drive initiatives related to efficiency, productivity and operational excellence.
- Support capacity planning as the organization grows.
- Contribute to the development of scalable manufacturing processes and ways of working.
- Work directly with the teams in India to ensure effective execution and alignment between operational priorities and business requirements.

What We Are Looking For We are looking for a senior operations professional with:

- 10+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement and/or Manufacturing.
- Several years of experience leading teams or operational functions.
- A strong background in Mobility, Electric Vehicle (EV), automotive electronics, electronics or other closely related technology-driven industrial environments .
- Experience managing international suppliers and cross-border supply chains.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, supplier management and negotiation.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments with demanding quality and delivery requirements.
- Proven ability to manage supply chain disruptions and solve complex operational problems.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and data-driven operational management.
- Professional proficiency in English .




- Ability to operate effectively in a highly international environment.
- Availability and willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time, primarily to India. This is an essential requirement for the position.
