Location: Centre of Torremolinos Start Date: As soon as possible contract: Temporary until 1 January 2027, with the possibility of extension hours: 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM : 6 evenings per week (Tuesday off)
About the Role
We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and trustworthy person to join our small ice cream and dessert shop in the centre of Torremolinos.
This is a hands-on role, so we are looking for someone who is not afraid of hard work and is able to take initiative. Reliability is extremely important. We need someone who turns up on time, takes responsibility for their shifts and can be depended upon.
You will often be working in the shop on your own, so you must be very independent, confident and capable of managing the shop without constant supervision. You must be able to handle multiple orders at the same time, prioritise tasks and remain organised and calm during busy periods.
The position is available as soon as possible and will initially run until 1 January 2027, with the possibility of continued work for the right person.
Main Responsibilities
- Serving customers and providing friendly service
- Preparing gelato, desserts, drinks and takeaway orders
- Managing multiple customer and delivery orders at the same time
- Handling payments and operating the till
- Keeping the shop very clean and organised
- Restocking products and packaging
- Cleaning equipment and work areas
- Completing opening and closing duties
- Managing the shop independently during your shift
The Right Person
We are looking for someone who is:
- Extremely reliable and punctual
- Hard-working and not afraid to get stuck in
- Very independent and confident working alone
- Able to multitask and manage several orders at once
- Trustworthy and responsible
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- Friendly and confident with customers
- Fast and efficient during busy periods
- Clean, organised and attentive
- Available to work evenings until 1:30 AM
- Available to start as soon as possible
- Able to commit until 1 January 2027
Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential for this position.
Must have previous hospitality or customer-service experience.
There is the possibility of extending the position beyond 1 January for the right person.
