Overview Experteer Overview Join Ferrovial to contribute to wind and PV project development across their lifecycle. You will support multi-disciplinary technical work, from early development to O&M;, shaping solutions with cross-functional teams. This role blends engineering rigor with strategic decision support to maximize energy yield and project value. You will interact with OEMs, EPCs, and technology partners to drive performance and innovation. This is a chance to influence renewable energy initiatives at scale within a general, collaborative culture.
Responsibilities
Support development and acquisition processes across electrical, civil, mechanical disciplines; assess energy yield
Support technical due diligence and manage external consultants
Perform energy yield assessments using WindNavigator and PVSyst; familiarity with WindPRO, WAsP, PVCase is a plus
Contribute to technical project development: conceptual/basic engineering, layouts, SLDs, equipment selection
Optimize layouts to maximize energy yield and project value
Provide high-level CAPEX estimates and inputs for financial models
Engage with OEMs, EPCs, and vendors for technical solutions and budget quotes
Monitor industry developments and opportunities to enhance performance
Support digital, data analytics, and AI-based solutions for evaluation and design workflows
Prepare technical specifications,
Employer's Requirements, RFPs, and other docs
Act as technical focal point; support site visits and collaboration with construction and business areas
Analyze curtailment, WTG/PV performance, and project risks with other functions
Qualifications
Engineering degree or equivalent
3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, especially wind and PV
Knowledge of WTG and PV technologies, components, architectures, and trends
Experience with wind/solar resource assessment, modeling, micrositing, and layout optimization
Proficiency in WindNavigator and PVSyst; WindPRO, WAsP, PVCase desirable
Proficiency in AutoCAD, QGIS, Google Earth, and MS Office
Python programming for data analysis is desirable
Understanding of EPC/BoP/O&M; contracts and technical specs and negotiations
Strong communication and collaboration skills; autonomous, proactive, and results-driven
AI tool awareness for process optimization
Valid driving license (B) and fluent English (C1)
