Electric Hydrogen ’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels.We are seeking a Quality Manager to develop our plant quality programs and lead quality execution for our European electrolysis plant projects. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing quality systems, processes, and personnel that support successful project delivery from product development through fabrication, construction, commissioning, and customer handover. You will partner closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Project Delivery teams to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction across our European projects.This role is based in Europe and reports to the VP, Product Engineering.Primary ResponsibilitiesLead quality activities throughout the full lifecycle of product development, procurement, fabrication, construction, and project deliveryDevelop and manage quality processes, procedures, and programs to support successful project executionBuild, contract, and manage quality personnel and third‑party inspection resources to support procurement, fabrication, and construction activitiesDevelop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and establish quality hold points throughout fabrication, manufacturing, and construction processesProvide quality leadership and oversight during project construction activitiesDeliver quality updates and project quality reporting to internal stakeholders and customersOwn the non‑conformance management process, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementationPartner with Supply Chain to build, maintain, and continuously improve the Approved Vendor List (AVL)Evaluate suppliers for ISO 9001, ISO 3834-2, and other applicable certifications required for hydrogen and oxygen service equipmentReview and approve fabricator drawings, weld maps, material lists, and manufacturing documentation for compliance with project specifications, codes,



and customer requirementsDevelop project‑specific quality requirements and quality clauses for inclusion in supplier contracts and purchase ordersCoordinate PED 2014/68/EU conformity assessments with notified bodiesOwn project EU Technical Files and issue EU Declarations of ConformityDevelop and approve FAT and SAT procedures and lead Factory Acceptance Testing activities at supplier facilitiesResolve punch‑list items and quality issues prior to shipmentReview and approve packaging, preservation, and transportation documentationOwn End‑of‑Manufacturing Record Books and ensure compliance with PED and project requirementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred10+ years of quality experience supporting fabrication, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or project development environments4+ years of experience in a Quality Manager, Lead Quality Engineer, or equivalent leadership roleDemonstrated experience leading quality teams, inspectors, contractors, and third‑party quality resourcesExperience developing, implementing, and improving quality programs and quality management systemsProven track record of successful quality execution across multiple projects within Europe, including concurrent project supportExperience working with module fabricators and manufacturing partners throughout EuropeStrong understanding of supplier qualification, auditing, inspection, and quality assurance processesCollaborative approach to building relationships across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, project delivery, and customer teamsFluent English requiredBusiness‑level Spanish or German preferredWillingness and ability to travel 40–60% during fabrication, inspection, and Factory Acceptance Testing phasesEurope‑based with proximity to major fabrication and manufacturing hubs preferredPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting hydrogen, industrial gas,



chemical processing, renewable energy, oil and gas, or other highly regulated industrial systemsExperience leading PED conformity assessments and CE marking activitiesFamiliarity with pressure equipment, welded assemblies, and hydrogen service equipmentProfessional certifications such as CQE, Lead Auditor, Welding Inspector, or equivalentRelevant Standards and Regulatory KnowledgeCandidates should have experience with, or familiarity with, the following standards, regulations, and industry practices:ISO 9001ISO 3834-2PED 2014/68/EUATEX 2014/34/EUMachinery Directive 2006/42/EC and EU 2023/1230Low Voltage Directive (LVD) 2014/35/EUEMC Directive 2014/30/EUASME BPVC Sections II, V, VIII (Divisions 1 and 2), and IXEN 13445EN 13480AD 2000-MerkblattPIP VEDV/VESV/VEFV standardsWelding qualifications including WPS, PQR, and WPQHydrogen‑service welding controlsAustenitic ferrite control and dissimilar metal weldingNACE MR0175 / ISO 15156NDE acceptance criteria including ASME V, EN ISO 17636, EN ISO 17640, EN ISO 23279, and EN ISO 5817API 941ISO 11114ISO 22734ISO 19880EIGA standards and IGC Doc 121Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job‑related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
